Monsieur Raph is the solo musical project of Raphaël Delahaye, French and Canadian
singer-songwriter living in Montreal (Qc) since 2008.

Inspired by his personal history and his travels, the multi-instrumentalist works to develop an
original and organic blend of musical influences between French-speaking song and world
music.

The project took off at the Festival International de la Chanson de Granby in 2015, then won an
award at the Festival Vue sur la Relève 2016 and at the Francofolies de Montréal - Étoile
montante Ford 2017.

The same year, a first EP titled ' 'NU' is launched and is presented in more than thirty different
venues in Quebec, New Brunswick and Ontario.
From this impetus, the composition and writing of a complete album by the Franco-Canadian
artist saw the light of day during an artistic residency in Cali, Colombia in 2019, thanks to the
support of CALQ.

Back in Montreal, the artist recorded his first full album. Composed of 10 original songs, it was
recorded at the Ourse Audio studio in Montreal, with Allan Hurd (sound recording and mixing).
The arrangements of the brass and string sections are entrusted to Guido Del Fabbro (Milk &
Bone, Pierre Lapointe, Greenland). And several established professional Montreal and Quebec
musicians contribute to the album: Julie Houle (tuba - DJU, Marco Calliari), Blaise Margail
(trombone - Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra), Rémi Cormier (trumpet - The Liquor Store), Joannie
Labelle ( congas) and Noemi Lira (vocals).

The album “Le sens de la dérive” is launched on april 8 2020.
