Cuarteto Recopado occupies a special place within the genre of Argentine Tango.
It dedicates itself to transform the idiom of Argentine Tango to the classical string quartet, at the same time carefully maintaining it's identity.
The intensity of it's performance as well as the players virtuosity make a concert of Cuarteto Recopado a pleasant, surprising experience, for both tango and classical music fans.
The group plays own compositions and arrangements as well as adaptations from existing arrangements. It was founded by Martijn van der Linden, who has a large experience performing with world touring groups like Sexteto Canyengue, Astillero Tango and Quasimodo Trio.
