The Samba Circle, or Roda de Samba, is a UNESCO-recognized piece of Brazilian heritage. For hundreds of years, women have been kept out of that circle. Now, these brave women are breaking down those invisible walls, standing together, in the face of mountainous oppression, to fight for what they believe in.
Tobias Nathan is a filmmaker with a keen interest in the human condition. Breaking The Circle is his first documentary. He's currently in development on his first narrative feature and a scripted series.
