Budakattu: An Introduction travels across six Indigenous tribes of South India through their songs, stories, and folklore. Elders and artists share living traditions deeply rooted in nature and place, and how they are passed to future generations. From Karnataka, where over 150 language groups call the region home, Budakattu celebrates and preserves the voices of Indigenous communities collectively known as Budakattu Jana.

Arun Sivag is a musician, social entrepreneur, social worker, and PhD scholar in Tribal Studies. Founder of GlobalKulture, he works with Indigenous communities to document and preserve vanishing musical traditions. A trained percussionist, he has performed in over 15 countries and collaborated with cultural organizations and artists worldwide.
