Enforced isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic meant that cultural networks, such as the Europe Jazz Network (EJN), were confronted with the massive challenge of keeping the members and the music professionals connected and engaged. The team at EJN managed to keep the network active with a variety of online activities, including a regular bi-weekly Café for the members, public webinars, award ceremonies, online campaigns, and an online General Assembly with 130 participants from 34 countries. They also facilitated collaborative projects between the EJN members, such as a 'streaming bridge' to connect live performances in different locations and cross-posted them on various digital platforms. This panel will discuss and evaluate what has been done, what they have learned, and what they can draw from these experiences into a re-connected live music sector.
