Two friends collect money for impoverished Americans in the street of Accra. Is this a bit of fun, political provocation, or a prophecy? Two Swiss filmmakers are exploring these questions together with seven musicians from Ghana. What do global developments and shifts in values look like from the ground up in Ghana and the African continent? As tomorrow’s ideas and trends are emerging more decentralized than ever in a globalized world- can new visions for the future become new global realities?

Since 1980 Peter Guyer has devoted himself entirely to film work. He has been the director and cinematographer of numerous award-winning films, political documentaries, commissioned productions and art videos and has often worked with visual artists plus television. In 1994 he founded his own production company Recycled TV in Bern.

Thomas Burkhalter is an ethnomusicologist, cultural producers and music journalist. He is the founder and director of Norient - Performing Music Research and the artistic director of the Norient Musikfilm Festival. Recent projects include the documentary Contradict, the AV/theatre/dance performance "Clash of Gods", and the re-launch of Norient.
