Reak is a spiritual performance art in which participants enter a trance and become possessed by the spirits of their ancestors. The young musician Anggi was given away as a baby and grew up with Reak musicians. He encounters various personal and other struggles in his life. Feeling alone in the world and opposed by everyone, Anggi finds strength in his faith in Reak.
Andreas Johnsen is the owner and founder of Rosforth Films. He has directed, produced, and cinematographed several international films since 2002. He is renowned for such films as Kidd Life and Ai Weiwei – The Fake Case, which in 2013 was nominated in IDFA’s Feature Length Competition, among others.
