Music is international. But how can new repertoire cross national borders more easily? How can technology expand our business models? How can innovations stimulate art to be shared worldwide?
Although music is an intentional language, national borders can be difficult to penetrate. But technical innovations makes it easy to cross those boundaries. Donemus sells and rents digitally, reaches 50 countries and attracts new generations of composers.
It will start up an international sheet music label dedicated to Arab composers, with a comprehensive archive and database accessible online and a web platform for the professional needs of composers. Donemus Orient will promote composers regionally and internationally together with local Arab institutions.
With the European-Egyptian Contemporary Music Society (EECMS), this platform will benefit from technical innovations and require a minimum of investment.
