Funerals are at the heart of Ghanaian culture and social life. Troubadour Stevo Atambire is a musician who travels from funeral to funeral, comforting the relatives and friends of the deceased person. With his improvised songs, using a traditional Kologo guitar, Stevo sings about the life of the deceased and assists family members in parting from their loved one.
Sofie Hanegreefs is a Belgian documentary filmmaker and visual artist. Her films have been broadcast on Belgian and Dutch television and shown at numerous international film festivals.
Kris Pannecoucke is a Belgian photographer and documentary filmmaker, born in Congo. He lives in Belgium and focuses mainly on projects in Africa, both as a photographer and a filmmaker.
Director Sofie Hanegreefs will be present for Q&A.
