The voice and worldview of the Bolivian singer of Quechua origin Luzmila Carpio, an artist who has devoted her life and career to invigorating indigenous traditions and spreading a message of social justice, female empowerment and ecological awareness. Luzmila y los pájaros received the Quetzalcoatl Indigenous International Film Festival – Winner Feature Film Americas and the SIGNIS Award for Best Documentary Feature at FENAVID 2024.
Pablo Mensi is an Argentine filmmaker, director and producer whose work explores the connections between music, culture, identity and contemporary Latin America. He has directed and produced documentaries and docuseries including [/i]A Musical Journey, Sonido Mestizo, Territorio Sonoro,[/i] and Luzmila y los pájaros.
