Meet the recipient of the WOMEX 21 Professional Excellence Award, Global Music Match, the day before the Award Ceremony. Lisa Whytock from the Global Music Match team will present their work and initiative, followed by an open conversation and Q&A.
For the action that Global Music Match does for advocacy in having built an initiative with positive collaboration, working beyond borders in a world fenced-in by the Covid Pandemic; and for working collectively on a new form of music export, cultural exchange and international collaboration utilising new technologies to support and include creative artists across the world. The project enhances solidarity in the industry and raises awareness of local artists, allowing diversity to flourish, creating a sense of community, and offering a good-practice model to all.
