There are many initiatives in the music industry working to address gender equality, climate action and fair pay. But in creating a new language of sustainability, there is no engagement with the global language of sustainability: the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This must change. The proposed solution: the creation of an SDG Music Compact to tie together the leadership that our business – in its totality – can demonstrate with this most important global conversation. This panel will discuss the SDGs, how the music industry can benefit from this partnership and create structures and strategies that support a kinder, cleaner, more prosperous world.
