In this session, promoters and cultural advocates will discuss the state of the music industry in the SWANA region and the Arab diaspora in the context of the recent escalation of violence. The panel will address pressing issues such as artists' mobility, the ethics of performance during wartime and cultural censorship in the European Diaspora. Conference participants will be invited to share their insights and experiences working with music in conflict zones in the SWANA region and beyond. The session aims to discuss challenges and ethics while considering practical solutions to continue supporting cultural production in wartime contexts.

Please note that this session and all conferences held in Conference Room 1 at Manchester Central will include auto-captions (in English) for improved accessibility.
