Nuse draws from the living heritage of Zadrima's women, weaving together song, craft, and sound. Songs and the loom are strongly connected in everyday practice, in a dialogue of rhythm and symbols where craftsmanship is at the service of the archetype revealed by the knowledge of women's hands. Social, political, and migratory themes intertwine with the poetry of songs dedicated to the bride. A deeply compelling journey of extraordinary significance dedicated to a microculture developing in the Zadrima region, in northern Albania.
Robert Bisha is a pianist, composer, multi-instrumentalist and film director whose artistic practice bridges contemporary composition, folklore, ethnomusicology and improvisation. His work explores the relationship between traditional Mediterranean musical heritage and avant-garde electroacoustic soundscapes.
