Approximately 370 million indigenous people belong to 5,000 different groups across 90 countries. These communities often have their language and deep-seeded cultural traditions. How often do we as Indigenous peoples, also known as first peoples, aboriginal peoples or native peoples, get together to meet each other, talk, discuss or collaborate to make music? The music we create says a great deal about who we are or, at least, who we think we are that lay's claim to our character and who am I 'identity'. Join us for the first inaugural Pan Indigenous network meeting - hosted by Matariki Festival Trust and Sounds Aotearoa, New Zealand - let's make history!
