Although Sara Correia was just 25 years old when her eponymous 2018 debut album saw her being hailed as the voice of a new generation of fado singers, it couldn't be described as an overnight success story. She grew up in a family of fadistas, immersed in the art of fado greats. Aged 13, she won the national Grande Noite do Fado competition and during her teenage years, regularly sang at one of Lisbon’s most important fado venues, the Casa de Linhares, learning and growing into her craft. Her 2020 release, Do Coração, was nominated for a Latin Grammy and won at Portugal's PLAY awards. Since then she has been honing her craft further, performing in Portugal, Morocco, Latin America, Turkey, Spain, UK and Latvia with her accomplished ensemble, featuring guitarra master, Ângelo Ferreira.
