About soundscapes, silence and noise, all sound spectra, from infra to ultrasound, frequencies and rhythm. But also about ecology, citizenship, equality and urban policies. The listening as a catalyst for transformation and sounds that are part of our everyday places. How does the soundscape affect us and how are we responsible for the sound we generate?

Raquel Castro dedicated herself to the study of soundscapes and the role of sound art in the development of auditory awareness. She made the documentary Soundwalkers, which premiered in 2009 at the Subtropics Festival in Miami, and the documentary Leve Leve non Caba Ué, winner of the Ovarvideo 2007 Festival. She is the founder and artistic director of the Lisboa Soa sound art festival and the Invisible Places Symposium.
