Synchronisation – the use of music in film, television, video games and advertising – is a valuable revenue stream for artists and one of the few opportunities accessible to musicians regardless of their country of origin or stage in their career. However, outside of sync-focused markets like North America and Europe, it remains underutilised and often misunderstood.

This panel will explore the benefits of sync licensing and unpack the challenges of placing music across international borders. This session will offer clarity, practical insights, and guidance to help navigate opportunities in global campaigns – from hit Netflix series to major international advertisements.

The views and opinions expressed during this session are solely those of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily reflect the policy or position of WOMEX.
