Ultra Violet Neon Planet delves into the cultural roots of bleep, a distinctive subgenre of house and techno that emerged in Sheffield, Leeds, and Bradford, UK, in the late 1980s. Through a blend of interviews and archival footage provided by Memory Dance, this documentary investigates the transatlantic connections between South Yorkshire and the Midwestern cities of Chicago and Detroit, revealing the subconscious influences that shaped the bleep sound.
