Instagram, Snapchat, and other social platforms have fostered a generation of visual communicators. As a result, 80% of the world’s Internet traffic is expected to be video in 2018. Yet, most classical music video is still produced for traditional broadcasting channels and the sector is missing out on a great opportunity to engage new and younger audiences on mobile platforms.

The goal of this workshop is to create prototypes of video formats that orchestras, venues, publishers, etc. can use to capture the attention of these users. Working together as a group in a mini-design sprint session we would map the journey from first capture to published video and see how we can design each step to be more mobile-friendly.

Participants should hopefully leave the workshop with new ideas, insights and goals of how to engage their audiences using video across all digital channels.

Please bring two examples of social videos that have caught your eye – we will share these during the session!
