Drawing on a deep well of American vocal harmony traditions and a 20-year background studying polyphonic music around the world, the four members of Windborne breathe their own lives into a wide-ranging repertoire with a blend of voices reached through decades of friendship and practice. Their first recordings explored the polyphonic traditions of Corsica, Occitan, Bulgaria and Georgia. Then came a compendium of North American folk and blues songs.
