This all-women panel will look into issues of class, gender and identity politics in Jamaican music. In particular, the conference will include perspectives of women representing diverse voices in Jamaican music, voices that are often not seen or heard. This session will be attended by sound engineer Tandra Jhagroo, Tricia Spence aka 'ZJ Sparks', artist manager and administrator Simone Harris, and young female recording artist Sevana to speak on gender and sexual identity in Jamaican and international music space.
