Since opening the Call for Proposals for the WOMEX 26 Official Programme a few weeks ago, we’ve been receiving amazing applications from across the globe for Conferences, Showcases, Club Summit and Films.
Today, we’re delighted to introduce the distinguished members of the WOMEX 26 Jury.
The Showcase Jury:
- Mercedes Caxaj (Guatemala/Canada), Artistic Co-Director for Sunfest-London Committee for Cross Cultural Arts
- Vasil Gjuroski (Norway), Festival Director, Tromsø World
- Melina Hickson (Brazil), CEO of Fina Produção and Porto Musical
- Rok Kosir (Slovenia), founder and director of the Slovenia based Most Music Agency
- Saúl Presa (Spain), festival / concert organiser, artist manager
The Conference Jury:
- Olfa Arfaoui (Tunisia/The Netherlands) is the founder of the FEMENA Network, an association that supports artists and creatives in collective efforts to address complex challenges in the Global South
- Teshome Wondimu (Ethiopia/Sweden) is a cultural entrepreneur, music professional, and founder of Selam Global
At WOMEX, our commitment to fairness, equity, and broad representation remains central to our mission. With the ever-expanding spectrum of musical styles, genres, and artistic perspectives reflected in the submissions, it’s vital that our selection process mirrors this diversity. To that end, the 2026 Jury brings together leading voices from throughout the global music ecosystem—each offering unique expertise, cultural insight, and a deep understanding of the international music landscape.

The Club Summit lineup will be once more curated by Jackie Jackpot of Malavida Music, a Booking agent/programmer based in Berlin, and the WOMEX Team.
