Classical:NEXT 2018 First Programme Announced

Today Classical:NEXT announced the first of its programme for 2018, revealing details of the French opening concert and confirmed participation of key networks Naxos Music Group and the European Festival Association (EFA). Plus, US-based vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth will perform at the Classical:NEXT 2018 Innovation Award.

What The France!? - Insights to the French Scene(s) at Classical:NEXT

Increasing their engagement and offering connections and insights into the French art music scene(s), a coalition of French associations, networks and partners around the Bureau Export and Business France, will host the meeting's opening evening under the title 'What the France?!' in the de Doelen concert hall, on Wednesday, 16 May 2018.

Key Networks of the classical and art music scene confirm participation

In addition to the French opening, the Naxos Music Group announced to move their annual distributors and labels meeting to Rotterdam, tied to Classical:NEXT, the European Festival Association (EFA) will participate in the conference with its own networking format.

Roomful of Teeth to close Classical:NEXT for 2018

The first of the 2018 showcases confirmed is Grammy-winning vocal project, Roomful of Teeth. Dedicated to reimagining the expressive potential of the human voice, Roomful of Teeth forge a new repertoire without borders and open approach.
Roomful of Teeth will perform as the final Showcase of Classical:NEXT at the Innovation Award and Closing ceremony on Saturday, 19 May 2018.
