Our weekly series of recorded WOMEX 25 conference sessions ends with Nature as Collaborator, a session combining ecological sphere with artistic expression.
Chaired by Merlyn Driver and featuring Ch´umilkaj, Barbora Šilhánová and Melisa Yıldırım, the panel brings together several perspectives on how artists are trying to use music to raise awareness of climate change and biodiversity loss.
In this session, speakers answered key questions on collaborating with nature, intercultural collaborations aligning within environmental responsibility, funding issues, and how can storytelling be used to meaningfully engage and inspire.
