Faced with enormous challenges and numerous uncertainties in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, the decision-making process was unlike ever before. For the first time in WOMEX history, the Jury meeting was held digitally, with each member taking part from their personal lock-down. We want to take this opportunity to share the Jury's choices with you right now.
Intending to tackle the latest music industry innovations, trends, discoveries and topics, here are some of the Conference Sessions and Network Meetings:
Cooperation In Times Of Climate Change will focus on detailed case studies that will serve as an inspiration to advocate the role of music in the fight against climate change. Succeeding, In The Digital Age, will discuss the challenges to indigenous/folk/roots music from Colombian and Indian perspectives. The State Of Mental Health will discuss how to create understanding and better conditions for mental health.
Women Of The World 11th Annual Network Meeting invites WOMEX delegates to raise a glass of Hungarian Pálinka and discuss the most critical issues affecting women in the industry. Central & Eastern European Network Meeting invites organisations and professionals for increased regional cooperation.
