After having presented a first selection of Evening Showcases in our first programme announcement, we are proud to come back to you with the complete showcase selection. This live concert series features artists from around the world who push the boundaries and horizons of classical music. The Showcase Festival includes Evening Showcases, Club Showcases and DJs who were painstakingly selected by a seven-member international jury.
Off the beaten path
The Evening Showcases are the perfect finale to intensive Classical:NEXT days. The performances start on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 May 2022, at 8pm in Schauspiel Hannover. 'Off the beaten path' reflects this year's unifying showcase element. No matter from which part of the world the artists may come, they are all united by the will to transcend genres, disciplines and traditions, building bridges between international and local scenes. Definitely a musical highlight not to be missed!
Classical:NEXT will provide a platform for unique artistic approaches for you to discover: cellist Seth Parker Woods, hailed by The Guardian as 'a cellist of power and grace'; the performance of 'cyborg pianist' Zubin Kanga; unconventional instrumentation, such as Japanese toys, by Ensemble for New Music Tallinn; among others.

The showcase performances are open to all Classical:NEXT delegates. Interested members of the public will soon be able to purchase tickets through Staatstheater Hannover.
