The Colors of Water (As Cores da Água) by Portuguese director Alexandra Barbosa, rather than through words, unravels via a series of scenic portraits with dance, performance, and music. It’s a story about the history of a region, the picturesque landscape of northern Portugal, and the anxieties and joys of the film’s characters.
