We’re pleased to present our 25th WOMEX film programme — new features, biopics and vital stories from the world of music.
Our film programme gives delegates the chance to experience 13 unique stories, including Kyrgyz activist-singer Zere Asylbek speaking out against injustice; queer Bulgarian artist Ivo Dimchev turning vulnerability into art; Quechua singer Luzmila Carpio championing indigenous tradition and ecology; global icons Amadou & Mariam; and the roots of the aparelhagem sound-system phenomenon in Belém, Brazil - plus lots more.
Watch trailers from the official WOMEX Film Programme through our YouTube playlist.
The WOMEX 26 Film Programme will be accessible for delegates at the Film Library. This is a physical space that features an extended selection of films independent of a scheduled screening and can be watched by WOMEX delegates on-demand at any time between Thursday and Saturday, 11am to 5pm.
