Posidònia is a musical proposal that takes its baseline in the folk music from the Balearic Islands. A trip between the known and the surprise, between folk and mediterranean music achieving songs created by the band and musicalized poetry. The band is formed by Marta Elka from Xaloc Música (composer, arranger, singer and violinist), Toni Pastor (lute), Bernat Cabot (violin) and Pep Balaguer (guitar) they three from the well-known band Música Nostra, Ximbomba Atòmica (Mallorca); Moisès Pelegrí (drums) from the menorquin folk group S’Albaida and the double bass player Marko Lohikari, musician with Albert Vila and with the menorquin pianist Marco Mezquida, that gives to Posidònia a grounding of jazz and swedish folk.
