Protesta Productions

Protesta Productions is composed of filmmakers Maureen Gosling, Jed Riffe and Nina Menéndez for the production of the music film, THE 9 LIVES OF BARBARA DANE. Gosling is an independent director and editor (THIS AIN'T NO MOUSE MUSIC: THE STORY OF CHRIS STRACHWITZ AND ARHOOLIE RECORDS, made with Chris Simon; BURDEN OF DREAMS, co-filmmaker with Les Blank, BAFTA award 1982, re-released in 4k restoration 2024; BLOSSOMS OF FIRE and others). Jed Riffe is an independent producer (ISHI, THE LAST YAHI; PLEISTOCENE PARK; THE LONG SHADOW and more). Nina Menéndez is also Director of the Barbara Dane Legacy Project and is a flamenco music producer.
