In 2003, the pianist Federico Marrale, son of the famous actor Jorge Marrale, and the guitarist Nicolas Olivera form Maquinal, a duo that mixes tango with elements of electronic music, jazz and pop to create an original sound. One year later they publish their first album and were praise by the audience and the press alike presenting their music several times at the MALBA. After this they were received by the Catalan public in Barcelona who were also pleased by the innovative air of their art.
Desvelo, their second album, features six young singers of the new generation and coming from different styles to endow the ten traditional tangos with voice and character.
