Hello All,
Conor Lamb will be representing Irish Traditional Group Réalta at WOMEX 2013.
I will be available for meetings at the Culture Ireland stand and would be delighted to hear from festival organisers, promoters, and anyone with an interest in presenting Irish traditional music.
Described by Irish Music Magazine as “A full bodied pipe and whistle extravaganza”, Réalta carry on the Bothy Band tradition of taking tunes by the scruff of the neck and firing excitement through them like hot flames!
With a sound based on the duelling uilleann piping talents of Conor Lamb and Aaron O'Hagan, propelled by a dynamic accompaniment on guitar and bouzouki by Deirdre Galway and Dermot Mulholland, Réalta deliver a unique experience and present an enchanting program of jigs, reels, songs, airs and what ever else will get you up dancing.
Having headlined European festivals, toured alongside traditional music legends Altan, and won the prestigious 'Danny Kyle Award' at Celtic Connections Festival, these young musicians have firmly established themselves on the international Irish music scene.
