Milon Mela comes from India and is integrated by 17 artists. The objective of this project entitled "the Sources' Research" is to preserve the ancestral indian cultures. This ensemble introduces us to the traditional, tribal and sacred Indian art through music, dance, martial arts and clothing richness. A unique performance between theatre and anthrolopology presenting a synthesis of the traditions of the regions of Orissa, Bihar, Kerala and Bengal.

The company will be back in Europe in 2010 between May and September with the show: "Usha-Fragments of light" inspired by the ancient myth of the Goddes Durga who defeats the powerful demon Mahisashura.

During this period, the company will reside in Rome.

In the summers of 2007 and 2008, the group had an average of 70 gigs per tour, participating in various festivals in Europe crossing Italy, Spain, Swiss, Poland, Austria, England, France and Portugal.

Milon Mela offers various types of workshops, parades and stage performance in one formula. With masters in each kind of discipline, Milon Mela teaches workshops every year in La Sapienza (University of Rome).
