G combo is a mix of cultures: Cuba, Colombia, Jamaica, Spain... Modern but traditional. A cocktail of sounds somewhere between Quantic, Manu Chao or Thievery Corporation just to name a few.
Owem-G is a Spanish producer, DJ and musician.
In 2013 he moved to Lisbon where he met the sax player Joel Pinto and the percussionist Joao Maia. Soon they started working together on the first album "El circo de la vida" trying to find the perfect balance between tradicional latin rhythms and modern elements from Tropical Dub, Nu Cumbia...
When the album was released in 2017 they felt it was time to move forward and show their original work live. After a period of touring around Portugal and Spain as a soundsystem trio, G combo became a full band when Mattia Corda (Piano), Roni Szabo (Bass) and Shamo Morales joined the band and they went back to the studio to record their second album "Gran Reserva" (2019) which brought them back on tour along the Peninsula Iberica.
