Born into an artist's family in 1979, Yaelle has lead a bohemian life between Marseilles, Reunion, and Paris. Her childhood was rocked by the voices of Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Danyel Waro and Claude Nougaro. At the age of 14 her father hired her as a dancer and vocalist in the band he was leading at that time: Tropicadero.
Her voice shifts from Slam to maloya through new soul and reggae music. Lyrics are light, poignant, sincere and sometimes mocking: first album to be released soon
