Gaditana (from the province of Cádiz) from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, born in 1980 into a family with a great tradition of flamenco, from which she begins to sing at the early age of four.

She debuted professionally in 1992 with the works “Toreros y Flamencos” and “Yo el cante” both of which were created and directed by Eduardo Dominguez Lobato. Today she is, without a doubt, one of the great figures of current Flamenco. Endorsed by thirty-some national prizes, she launches in 2000 winning first place at the International Flamenco Arts competition at the XI Biennal (Biannual) in Sevilla.

There are many elegant and impressive milestones highlighting her meritorious career among which is the “Cadiz Youth 2008” presented by Promocion de Cadiz en el Exterior (an organization dedicated to sharing talent from this province with the rest of the world); “Female Entrepreneur 2010” presented by the Andulucian Institute for Women; Gold Medal of Excellence, presented by her home-town, along with the impressive designation of “Dama de la Orden de la Solear” – making her one of only a few members of this elite order.

She has participated in the most important world festivals: Festival de la Union (Union Festival), Festival Internacional de Musica y Danza de Granada (International Music and Dance Festival in Granada); FlamencioViene del Sur (Flamenco Comes from the South); Festival de Grenoble; Festival Internacional de Flamenco de Mont de Marsan (International Flamenco Festival in Mont de Marsan, France); Chicago, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Munich, Luxemburg, Utrech, Amman, International Flamenco Festival in Nimes, and a long list of etc.

Thanks to her talent and vast professional experience of more than 20 years, Laura Vital has shared the stage with some of the greats such as Jose Mercé, Fernanda de Utrera, Chocolate, Juan Valderrama, , Paco Toronjo, La Niña de la Puebla, Enrique de Melchor, Carmen Linares, José Menese, , Joan Albert Amargó, Vicente Amigo, and a long etc.

The most important venues in Spain and Europe have delighted in the marvelous voice of Laura Vital, through her own concerts as well as shared productions such as “A mis soledades voy” (I go on my Own), “El amor brujo” (Bewitching bove) or “Sentimientos de Pasión” (Passionate sentiments) among many.She has performed at the Teatro Real de Madrid (Royal Theater of Madrid) during the awards ceremony for “José María Forqué”, garnering accolades from critics and public alike, along with Enrique de Melchor and Jorge Pardo.

She has several albums: “Cantando junto a la mar” (1994); “Jovenes Flamencos de la Bienal” (Senador 2001), one DVD direct from the Teatro Maestranza of Sevilla with the production of “A mis soledades” from Jose Menese (Boa Record 2005). She also participated in the first telematics guide of Flamenco of Andalucian Tourism. She is currently working on her new album entitled, “Tejiendo Lunas” (Weaving Moons).

In 2010 she premiered two productions for children: “Flamenco School Musical” and “Flamenco Land”, garnering clamorous success with more than 30,000 spectators. These productions were represented at the Bienal de Arte Flamenco in Sevilla the same year; formed part of the circuit “La escena encendida” (the ignited stage) in Sevilla; were included in the cicle “El teatro y la escuela” (the theater and school) in Sevilla; were invited to “La Bienal va por la Escuela” in the Festival Arte Flamenco de Mont de Marsan (France); Both productions were also part of The International Festival of Teatro de Cazorla and the International Festival in Nimes, among others. She is currently immersed in new projects: “Pastora Eterna” (Eternal Shepardess) with TurdetaniaTeatro”, “La Musica de losEspejos”(The Music of Mirrors) with Jose Maria Velazquez- Gaztelu and Eduardo Rebollar, “Cuando Falla encuentra a Lorca” (When Falla finds Lorca) and “Mediterránea” (Mediterranean).

Laura is the first-ever professor of flamenco singing at the Cristobal de Morales Conservatory of Professional Music in Sevilla. She is also a psychologist licensed by the University of Sevilla and a member of the Cultural and Artistic Foundation “Eduardo Dominguez Lobato”.
