Zither-playing multi-instrumentalist Andrew Cronshaw, Armenian duduk master Tigran Aleksanyan, multi-instrumental reeds player Ian Blake and the great Finnish singer Sanna Kurki-Suonio.

All of them appear on the new live CD, Sans Live, released this month. After their first recordings, the four came together for shows at Finland's Kaustinen festival, and a band was born, in which Sanna's remarkable vocals, rooted in Finnish runo-song, take a much greater role than on that first album.
