SCL Lusitanian

SCL Lusitanian was founded by Nuno Saraiva in 2011.

Presently it operates several record labels, including Lusitanian, Mais 5, European Phonographic and others; as well as Lusitanian Music Publishing and the recently re-activated live booking division led by Filipa Estevão.

The roster re-introduces several Portuguese Folk Innovators, all of which we represent internationally with new albums recently released or upcoming: A Cantadeira, RAIA, O Gajo, Joana Alegre and others.

The Mais 5 label is also re-issuing the José Afonso catalogue, working closely with the Estate of José Afonso, and the Wanderer Songs collective was setup at the invitation of Pedro Afonso so that the music of José Afonso can be performed by quality artists in the 21st Century. Wanderer Songs performed at the Rudolstadt Festival as well as Casa da Música Porto and Tivoli Lisboa.

Lusitanian Ghosts are a Portuguese-Swedish collective, crossing portuguese chordophone instruments with an international singer-songwriter approach, and have played Folk Alliance and also performed with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra.
