The Samba Um in their first CD called DNA dives into a big research about the samba, its unique beat and its unique capacity of mixing easily with other rhythms. Using simple vocabulary from the streets of São Gonçalo (county of the metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro) they show all the creativity of the young people that have grown under the influence of the traditional samba and had the sensibility to add new elements from rock and soul to the most traditional rhythm Brazilian. In the concerts they present the public new versions from big names of Brazilian Samba, such as Zeca Pagodinho, Martinho da Vila, Jorge Benjor among others
