From live events to copyrights and related rights in music, from major events to boutique festivals, from streaming platforms to new promotional strategies to artificial intelligence.
4 days to meet, listen, and talk with the main Italian and international music professionals.

This ambitious path started in 2022, by addressing the themes of the gender gap, the new discography, and post-pandemic live shows, and we also facilitated the foundation of the Sicilia Live (the Sicily Music Commission).
In 2023, more space was dedicated to the accessibility of both on-the-ground events and new media and the sustainability of environmental and economic resources.

In 2024 we expanded the conference to the wonderful Sicilian territory: we did 2 days in Palermo (22nd and 23rd of May) and 2 days in Catania (24th and 25th of May) to implement the involvement of trade associations and music brands.

The themes of the Sicily Music Conference have always been relevant to music and the world of culture in general and during the last edition (SMC2024) we decided to focus on the territory, by addressing cultural models of the Mediterranean, involving realities that overlook a sea that is not just a place but also a cultural symbol.
And, always considering where we operate, we addressed the theme of artistic residencies; Sicily is a land of passion, music, and culture but also of spaces that can support culture.
Finally, for the first year, we held listening sessions, speed dates, and some A&Rs from the main labels were available to Sicilian musicians to listen and share thoughts and strategies.

Sicily is an island and like all islands, it is central to itself, but we like the idea that our conference can put Sicily at the center of the discussion on music.
