In 2008, Songlines launched Songlines Music Travel and in 2011 Songlines launched its own festival in partnership with London's Kings Place, Songlines Encounters Festival. 2023 celebrates 15 years since the launch of the Songlines Music Awards. The 2019 awards ceremony took place on November 30 at London's EartH Hall in Hackney, in partnership with Soundcrash, and hosted by Cerys Matthews with performances by Mariza, Fatoumata Diawara, Gaye Su Akyol, Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita and Monsieur Doumani. Following two years of virtual ceremonies, the 2022 awards marked a return to a live in-person show at London's Scala, hosted again by Cerys Matthews with performances from Fanfare Ciocarlia, Justin Adams & Mauro Durane, Balimaya Project and Ballaké Sissoko.
