KARYNA GOMES is a singer from Guinea-Bissau, where she was born and grew up listening to traditional music, local urban music and rhythms from around the world.
It is one of the most talented Guineans artists today and believes that her musical roots comes from the "convívios do quintal” (backyard gatherings) a mix of societies typical of southern hemisphere tropics, and it is influenced by the experiences lived in three continents - Africa, America and Europe.
She joined, among others, the historical and revolutionary group Super Mama Djombo and has shared the stage with artists such as Tito Paris, Bonga and Boss AC, among others.
In 2014, releases her first solo album, producing and editing by Paulo Borges - Get! Records. "MINDJER", which means "Woman". It is the title chosen for her first album and it is a tribute to all Guineans women (around the world) for their strength, determination and courage.
"Mindjer", will be release 06 October in Itunes and physical launch in Portugal at 13th October.
