AGIR is one of the most well established artists of his generation. He is a constant presence on radio playlists with his solo themes and several collaborations with some of the biggest names in national music, such as Ana Moura, Carolina Deslandes, Diogo Piçarra, Karetus, Papillon or 9 MILLER. His career includes several achievements, including three sold-out Coliseums, the “Best Portuguese Act” award at MTV EMA 2015, the Golden Globe for “Best Individual Performer” or the Platinum award for the album “Leva- Seriously.”

AGIR has shared with the public, through the most diverse means, such as digital platforms or television, the various special projects in which he has been working on. From the “Eulália” jam sessions, in which he pays homage to iconic Portuguese artists with a jazz tune, to the special theme PRESCREVER, a reflection on social inequalities that pervert the essence of Justice. The poets and authors of intervention who made Abril (Carnation Revolution) deserved his special attention this year: first through the special participation in the Eurovision, in which he sang two of the greatest classics of all times in Portuguese music, “Flor Sem Tempo” and “E After Adeus” in homage to his father, Paulo de Carvalho; then, with the concert Cantando Abril, broadcasted on RTP 1 at the time of the 47th anniversary of the 25th of April; and, finally, the special show O Cantinho do Zeca, also broadcasted on RTP 1, in which Carolina Deslandes, Lura, Marisa Liz, Tatanka, Joana Alegre, Cláudia Pascoal, Irma and Sara Correia joined AGIR to recreate the greater legacy by Zeca Afonso, giving it new voices, but keeping the essence of each timeless song.
