Soup Studios was founded in London in 2000, and has worked with a huge variety of artists, including the WOMEX-showcasing Ariwo and 47Soul. Since last year we have operated our of the converted Lightship 95, moored in Trinity Buoy Wharf in East London, across the Thames from London's iconic O2 venue. Our large live room, unique collection of vintage equipment and hybrid analogue-digital approach is ideally suited to capturing the raw energy of live band performances, and as such our studio has been favoured by many of London's rising jazz stars. We've worked extensively with the MOBO Award winners Moses Boyd & Zara McFarlane, as well as Nubya Garcia, Tom Skinner, Theon Cross & Jake Long. Our convenient London location has allowed us to work with a number of acts from across the world, including Toshio Matsuura, Daymé Arocena, 47Soul and the international family of musicians that make up Ariwo, showcasing at WOMEX 2018.
