Station Beirut was established in 2013 to channel a vision of arts & culture for social transformation. The curatorial focus is on socially engaged art projects that promote the next generation of Swana talent while inspiring critical thinking and civic engagement across diverse audiences. From the first Pride events in the region to landmark art shows like Yalla Dada, Station presents cultural happenings that celebrate diversity, champion artistic freedoms and advocate for inclusive social change. In addition to our public arts programming, we serve the creative and civic communities via capacity-building activities and a safe space for social justice causes. Today, Station Beirut is recognized as one of the premier destinations for progressive cultural experiences in and from the Swana region.

Station started expanding its geographic footprint in 2018 with signature projects like the NextStop traveling arts festival, also offering curatorial services, organization of regional music tours and international bookings for Swana artists. We recently launched Shuruq Music, a new platform dedicated to elevating and transmitting musical talent from Swana to the world. Designed with international music professionals, Shuruq offers capacity-building, showcase and performance opportunities to help amplify artists’ careers, professionalize local ecosystems and position the region’s talent on an equal footing within the global music industry. Shuruq is where fans and music industry professionals can discover music cultures from Swana. Watch & listen: https://bfan.link/shuruqmusic
