Omar Perry, was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1968, is the son of the legendary Lee "Scratch" Perry.

He grew up attending famous artists of the Reggae world who have benefited from the genius of Lee Perry during recording in the studio of "Black Ark": Max Romeo, Junior Murvin, Bob Marley and the Wailers. Omar was destined to devote his life in music, but he has to make his own way.

Teenager, he left school in the 80's and formed a band "The Upsetter Juniors", with the label of the same name. Unfortunately, the group disbanded in 1990, but Omar has found his individual way.

While working on a tour of Horace Andy in 2005, he met Guillaume "Stepper" Briard who is a talented musician and also a great producer. Stepper seeing in Omar a potential of the new generation and the both decided to work together on his first album "Man Free", released in 2007.

Two years later, in 2009 , Omar released his second album "Car not Stop Us" produced by Stepper & The Homegrown Band. It's a very generous album, more roots than dancehall with all reggae styles. It is aimed at a young public or music lovers and the sound of the voice of Omar remind those of his father, Jah Mason or Warrior King.

2011: Album The Journey (BoneFire PR) featuring Anthony B, Earl 16, etc. is the da place.
