Founded in May 1998, TAMISE is a cultural association headed by Gary Lubin, a cultural operator, agent and promoter for artists and show producer, earned the Haiti Ministry of Culture and Communication’s status recognition two years later. The association main objectives are to promote Haitian culture and stimulate international cultural exchanges with Haiti.

In August 2003, at the invitation of the Consulate of Benin in Haiti, Tamise ensured coordination of a plastic arts exhibit of Haitian artists in Cotonou, in the annual Gospel and Roots Festival, The Haiti Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs also supported this participation.

Specialized in the realization of events with fixed theme, Tamise has collaborated with various international agencies and official institutions including UNDP, UNIFEM, MINUSTAH, Plan Haiti, the Ministry of Women Affairs and Women's Rights, the Cultural Service of the Canadian Embassy, Haiti’s French Institute, the Ministry of Culture and Communication and so on.

In January 2008, in cooperation with the association Caracoli and financial support of Plan Haiti, Tamise organized a workshop on singing with the Haitian Cuban vocal group Desandann to benefit street children of Ouanaminthe, border town in the country’s Northeast department. They both also organized for an orphanage housing children affected by HIV and AIDS.

Dedicated to social causes, through to its plea with the French-Haitian association of solidarity and cultural exchanges and the media library of Creil in France the association is at the origin of a library donation to the school of Christ-Roi / Trou Sable, in Port-au-Prince, which welcomes girls of poor families.

Through years of various productions involving artists across Haiti, the Tamise Association has woven links with operators and broadcasting networks throughout the country.
