TEMPO Fest

TEMPO Fest is a multi-day music Experience + Meeting place that celebrates the vibrancy and vitality of the Now Sound of Italy. Founded by Artistic Director / Musician Daniela Nardi,TEMPO Fest curates compelling experiences which engage the culturally curious to discover the evocative nature of the Italian spirit through music.

We are a Festival: Programming and commissioning of works, crossing genres and boundaries, borders and countries over 5 nights in unique spaces and established concert halls along the Bloor Street Cultural Corridor in Toronto. Day programming includes Talks, Masterclasses, Screenings and Exchanges.

We are a Meeting Place: Networking, Panels, Workshops tof oster market and sector development in order to build a consistent and sustainable music network between Italian, Canadian and International Partners.

TEMPO Fest’s most recent networking initiative began with the Global Toronto Music Conference in June2021.TEMPOFest,inpartnershipwith ItaliaMusicExportandPugliaSounds,gathered25 Italian music sector delegates to meet with Canadian and International delegates in an online forum. Delegates from Italy included: i-Jazz, Linecheck, RE:Sound Festival, Italian Music Festivals. As well as the networking session,TEMPO Fest presented Italy’s Fanfara Station as the showcasing artist.

2022 Initiatives include:

● Global Toronto Music Conference June 6-10th, 2022: panel discussion in partnership with
Italia Music Export and i-Jazz + launch/ spotlight of TEMPO Fest 2022

● TEMPO Fest September 19-24, 2022: inaugural festival

● TEMPO Fest Network meetings: Fall 2022 in partnership with Italia Music Export and Linecheck + CIMA (Canadian Independent Music Association)

● TEMPO Fest delegations at Canadian and International conferences
