Glass Mountain Records celebrates 10 years of making independent music! GMR was founded by entrepreneur and musician Tori Sparks in 2007, as an alternative to the business models available in today’s marketplace. Sparks has been invited to speak on the subject of DIY in the music industry at conferences such as SXSW, WOMEX, the Indie Music Gathering and others. Her most recent musical project, 'La Huerta', is her second bilingual collaboration with Spanish flamenco fusion trio Calamento, and guitar maestro El Rubio. Called “impeccably sung, played, and produced” (Rockdelux), "adventurous, pushing the envelope" (Rolling Stone), and “unclassifiable, refreshingly free of hangups and cliches” (La Vanguardia), the album ‘La Huerta' is a surprising mix of flamenco, blues, rock, and Mediterranean musical influences. The unexpected international success of the Tori Sparks + Calamento collaboration has spawned World Music and Jazz festival dates, as well as tours across Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain and beyond.
